Griffon Minos Birthday Celebration Works (2026)

This gallery collects my 2026 birthday celebration fanart of Griffon Minos from Saint Seiya.

This page is part of my Minos fanart gallery archive.
You can also explore my works here:

  • Pixiv (main Japanese archive)
  • Xfolio (high-resolution archive and downloadable works)
  • AO3 (fanfiction archive)

If you are interested in my interpretation of Minos as a character,
you may also enjoy my fanfiction on AO3:

My favorite character, Griffon Minos, celebrates his birthday every year on March 25.

On this day, fans usually create a birthday hashtag on X (formerly Twitter), and many people post fanart and fanfiction to celebrate him together.

Since the original series ended quite a long time ago, the number of posts using the hashtag has gradually decreased over the years.
However, the current serialization of Saint Seiya: Saint Mariya and related works still keeps the character active in the franchise universe, and Minos is appearing there right now.

So I decided to join the celebration by posting several Minos fanart pieces on X in the days leading up to his birthday.

I have also collected them here in this gallery.
I hope you enjoy them.

The same works are also available on my Xfolio page.

Birthday Countdown Illustration

On March 19, I posted this illustration to announce that Minos’s birthday (March 25) was coming soon.

Aries Shock!!

Minos’s zodiac sign is Aries.

In The Lost Canvas, Aries Shion even says that he personally dislikes Minos.
So although Minos does not seem very popular among Aries characters, he himself is actually an Aries.

That feels a little ironic.

Perhaps Minos is the “black sheep” of Aries characters.

Hairstyle Variations of Minos Across Different Series

Based on Masami Kurumada’s original design, Minos’s hairstyle is interpreted slightly differently in each spin-off series.

The main difference appears in how the volume at the top of the head is drawn.
All versions derive from the original design, but it is interesting to see how each artist develops their own interpretation.

Upper right: Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas
Lower left: Dark Wing
Lower right: Saint Mariya

Yuta Okkotsu’s Famous Line Reimagined in Minos Style

This is a playful piece.

It is inspired by a famous line spoken by Yuta Okkotsu in the manga Jujutsu Kaisen, reinterpreted as if Minos were saying it.
The pose is also based on the original reference.

In the original scene, the line expresses what can be described as pure love.
However, in this version, Minos says that he controls others because he loves them.

Although the illustration is meant to be humorous, it also reflects my interpretation that this way of thinking may actually be close to how Minos is portrayed in The Lost Canvas.
